Stars who have college degrees

Nowadays, it seems as though everyone goes to college. They obtain their bachelor’s degree while partying the nights away and eating way too much pizza. But celebrities don’t go to college, do they? They merely fight their way into the limelight through auditions and callbacks, and that’s their lives sorted, isn’t it? Well, not quite. Many stars actually went to college and lived normal college lives before venturing into the spotlight. These are the stars who have college degrees.

Eva Longoria

She may be known as the ultimate Desperate Housewife, but it seems as though Eva Longoria has more than acting talent under her belt. Before she made a name for herself as one of the most famous actresses in the world, she actually went to college to study Kinesiology. If you’re wondering what that is, don’t worry, you’re not alone! This is actually the study of the mechanics of the body. While in her prime in terms of her acting career, Longoria also went back to college to obtain her master’s degree.

Cole Sprouse

Cole Sprouse is known for his current career in Riverdale, but also his childhood career alongside his twin brother in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. However, you might know that there was an interim period between these two acting roles. During that time, Cole went to New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study. Because Cole doesn’t play by the rules, he actually created his very own degree. He studied Geographical Information Systems, which doesn’t mean a lot to anyone else…

Mayim Bialik

Mayim Bialik is known for playing one of the smartest characters in the sitcom world, but it seems as though she doesn’t have to try too hard to be a neuroscientist. That’s because she is one in real life! After making it big as a child star, Mayim took a break from acting to obtain her neuroscience undergrad. She then made her acting return but wanted to also continue her education. So, she eventually split her time between stardom and earning her Ph.D.

Natalie Portman

If you didn’t know already, actress and activist Natalie Portman is incredibly intelligent. Although she was over the moon to be cast in The Phantom Menace in 1999, she felt as though there was something missing in her life. She wanted to expand her horizons and her knowledge, so she made her way to Harvard to study psychology. After a huge amount of studying she later obtained her degree, and has since made her way back to the Ivy League college as a professor.

Chris Martin

It seems as though Chris Martin has been performing with his band for his whole life, but he was actually a college student before he took to the stage. He attended University College London, where he studied both Greek and Latin. While we don’t know where he was planning to go with that degree, it’s pretty impressive. While studying, he met the other members of what would later become Coldplay.
