As we navigate the ups and downs of this world, one of the toughest things we deal with is romance. We all want to find that special someone who understands us more than anyone else, someone who we can snuggle up with late at night as we watch lazy reruns of our favorite television shows. Everyone knows the saying that there are plenty of fish in the sea, but here’s one fish that no one could ever say no to – Mexican weathergirl Yanet Garcia.
Perfect weathergirl
We’re not exaggerating when we say that she’d be hard to refuse. Just take one look at her! She is currently 27, but she was already taking the world by storm in her early 20s with her viral weather reports – and let’s just say that people weren’t so interested in the cold rain and snow. Her pristine figure and rockin’ genes had media outlets naming Yanet Garcia the “most beautiful weathergirl in the world” – and no one disagreed.
Social media star
In addition to the waves she made as a weathergirl, she also kept lighting things up on social media outlets such as Instagram and Twitter. Once she realized that people were loving her as a professional newscaster, she began to post all sorts of lovely pictures on her various social media accounts, eventually racking up 729 thousand followers on Twitter and a whopping 7.1 million followers on Instagram. That’s when Mr. Doug entered the picture…
Here comes Doug
You can’t spark up a frenzy across the world and not expect anyone to try and hit on you. It didn’t take long for Yanet to attract her share of male suitors, and one of these eager young men was Doug Martin. A professional gamer who specialized in the video game known as Call of Duty, meeting Yanet gave him a new sense of duty. He wanted to meet her so bad that he flew all the way out from the United States to Mexico – and the sparks started flying.
Serious chemistry
Their relationship was an outright success from the get go. They hit it off right away, and men all around the world were disappointed that she was now taken. Although Yanet lived in Mexico and Doug in the states, they made the long distance thing work. They made the choice that they would never go three weeks without seeing each other, and this decision would ultimately keep their relationship afloat for a certain period of time.
Moving in together
In the throes of young love, Yanet and Doug decided that they wanted to take their relationship to the next level. The long distance thing seemed to be working, but they decided it wasn’t good enough. They decided to move in together in New York City, so that they could be close to each other as much as possible. They were able to make their relationship work long distance, so they reasoned that if they lived under the same roof, it would be perfection…
Temporary fantasy
It turned out that living together wasn’t so far off from romantic perfection… for a while. Doug insinuated that for about a year and a half they were practically on cloud nine while they lived together. He said that they shared a plethora of wonderful new experiences during that time, and that they also learned so much about one another. But he also said that it wasn’t long before reality got in the way of their temporary blissful fantasy.
Busy busy busy
Before long, it began to grow painfully clear that this arrangement of them living together wasn’t working out. It wasn’t that they didn’t love each other’s company. It was the fact that having each other’s company was a luxury they didn’t always have. They simply never got to hang out with one another. Their schedules didn’t allow it, because Yanet worked all day and Doug worked throughout the night, sometimes playing Call Of Duty from evening up until 5 am.
Girl got ambition
There were other matters that began to complicate things even further. Both Doug and Yanet were both extremely ambitious individuals, highly committed to fulfilling their dreams as professionals. Yanet had received a new job offer to continue to be a weathergirl in Mexico City, something she couldn’t do while living in New York. She also had dreams about pursuing a career in acting, something that would also require a lot of time and energy.
Championship dreams
While Yanet was receiving job offers around the world, Doug was also going through some internal conflict. He began to think about his dreams as a professional gamer. He had already garnered a solid amount of fame as a “YouTuber,” playing Call Of Duty publicly for legions of fans to watch, but there was one thing missing from it all – a championship. He wanted to win a Call Of Duty championship more than anything, and in order to do that, he needed to be locked in.
Decisions
Life is filled with opportune moments. Every single second of every hour of each day, we are constantly making choices, and it can be hard sometimes to know if you’re making the right ones. Doug and Yanet had fallen pretty hard for one another, but they had also fallen hard for the respective careers they had chosen. After realizing how hard it was to balance both romance and work, they both had some real choices to make.
In it to win it
Yanet Garcia, “the hottest weathergirl in the world,” and one of the most coveted ladies on planet earth, decided that even though she was ambitious about her career, she wanted to keep things going with Doug. She understood that relationships are hard work, and that if they truly love each other, no amount of obstacles can stand in their way. The problem was that Doug didn’t exactly feel the same way. Yanet had faith that they could make it all work, but he wasn’t so sure…
Cutting the cord
In a ten-minute long YouTube clip titled “We Broke Up,” Doug publicly announced to the world how, and why, he was ending his relationship with Yanet. He started off his segment by saying, “For those of you who don’t know, Yanet is one of the most beautiful women in the world, she’s a supermodel, and she’s super super famous on social media.” He then proceeded to tell his entire story about how he eventually decided to break up with her.
Team loyalties
We already know that Doug is an extremely ambitious gamer. In fact, he has a gamer nickname, “FaZe Censor,” that many Call Of Duty fans know him by. But there is another reason that he was pressured to end his relationship with Yanet. It was the fact that he was being held accountable by a greater collective of individuals. People that follow Doug on social media know that he’s in fact on a team of gamers – and it is with them he dreams of winning a title.
Feeling the pressure
A number of times in his YouTube explanation, he mentions this “team.” He doesn’t say it outright, but it’s clear that they put a lot of pressure on Doug to give them every ounce of energy he has – and considering that Doug has dedicated his entire life to being a Call Of Duty champion, he had to figure out what that meant. In his mind, it meant that he had to make some sacrifices. Putting it bluntly, it meant that he had to cut Yanet loose.
Heartbroken
This is the stark difference between Doug and Yanet. Even though we already acknowledged that Yanet was a very busy rising young star, she has admitted to being “heartbroken” after getting dumped by Doug. She was willing to give the relationship all she had, but he needed to “follow his dreams.” After Doug made this choice, it was a decision that made headlines all across the world – and you can bet that many people expressed their takes on it.
The people react
Just in the YouTube comments section alone, an angry microcosm can be seen, undoubtedly displaying an accurate reflection on the way many people feel about it around the world. One person wrote, “Left a beautiful girl for video games,” with a disappointed emoji right after it. Others were more supportive of Doug, given the fact that they were probably big fans of his abilities as a gamer. Some people were probably just happy that Yanet is now single.

Speaking of Yanet, even though she was clearly upset about the whole thing, it didn’t stop her from posting a number of eye-popping pictures of herself in a bathing suit on social media. She’s aware of the one of kind catch she is, and every man in the world is aware of it too. It’s unclear how long she’ll wait to move on to the next guy, but it will be interesting to see how Doug responds to it all when she does. He may come to realize that he made a grave mistake.

This is what many people in the world can’t for the life of them understand. There are some girls who are beautiful on the outside, and many girls who are beautiful on the inside. There are some girls who are both, and Yanet is one of these rare people. The fact that Doug had a rare find like that, and chose to give it all away, is something that many people have a hard time understanding.
Who’s to say?
Have you ever heard that saying, “You don’t know what you have until it’s gone?” We wonder if Doug will have some of those feelings once Yanet has moved on to someone else. We wonder if Doug will feel complete with a Call Of Duty championship if he doesn’t have “the most beautiful weathergirl in the world” to come home to at night. But who knows… Maybe Doug knows something we don’t, and we just have to trust that he knows what he’s doing.

Another thing that Doug revealed in his YouTube explanation was that Yanet was his first ever real girlfriend. He hadn’t been very sociable in high school, having playing all of that Call Of Duty. Perhaps he just wants to test the waters out there a little bit. Maybe he’ll see that the dating world is actually a lot tougher than he remembered. Maybe it’ll make him want to return to Yanet… and if so, it’s unclear whether or not she’ll return the sentiment.
Magnificence
Doug says that he feels confident about his decision to break up with Yanet, but something tells us he should’ve given this a little bit more thought. Or maybe he gave it too much thought, and should’ve just let the relationship flow. Either way, how could anyone say no to the magnificent young woman in this picture? It’s not even like she was playing hard to get – she wanted to stay with him! We know this because she admitted she was saddened by him ending it.

Of course, we does let people know what the weather is like outside, and that can certainly help people out in a certain manner. You get the point we’re making though. Yanet simply jumps off of the page in this picture, in a way that makes every man in the world want to jump right through their computer screen.

As we have already stated, Yanet Garcia has a pretty active Instagram page, and on it she likes posting her share of pictures. This is a picture that she posted in the beginning of August, a few weeks after Doug broke up with her. The caption on the picture wrote, “Love is in the air,” leading us to believe that she may have moved on from her ex faster than he may have expected. Is this a hint she’s trying to tell us?
Got that swag
Whether or not she has found herself a new man or not, we get the feeling like she won’t have any trouble in that department. She doesn’t seem to be slowing down at all in the physical department, continuing to hit the gym as you can see in this picture. We happen to love her backwards hat that she’s wearing, showing us all that she’s got a certain level of swag in her fashion sense.
Serenity
From the Mexico themed sneakers that she’s wearing, to the maroon colored spandex jumpsuit she has on, Yanet here portrays an image of someone who anyone would kill to go on a hike with. The atmosphere in this photo exudes a level of serenity that everyone should be so lucky to feel every now and then, and we’re happy that Yanet allows herself to relax in that manner. It’s the perfect approach to have after a tough breakup.
Family first?
One of the things that Doug said when he talked about his reasoning for breaking up with Yanet is that he “can’t give her the attention that she wants.” He was “so focused on Call Of Duty,” and he needed to do his “100 reps in the gym,” among other things. While the need to focus on your passion is important, there are some who would say that you should prioritize building a family above all else. And who wouldn’t want to start a family with her?

It’s time to play the translating game, because this Instagram picture that Yanet posted had a long caption in spanish. Its translation revealed a simple, yet wise thought to live by: “Changes are challenges that open the door to new opportunities…” Indeed, she is hundred percent right about that fact, and it’s this idea that will help her move on to new opportunities and forget about losing Doug. So get ready boys, because her new boyfriend could be you!
No regrets?
We’ve all heard the saying that the “grass is always greener on the other side,” and this concept is the one that we believe will haunt Doug most in regard to leaving Yanet. We can’t say this for sure, but chances are he may realize later that the grass was indeed a vibrantly bright green when he was with Yanet, and he just didn’t see it because he was looking elsewhere. We hope he doesn’t regret his decision, because that’ll probably be a tough pill to swallow.
