Dan Tillery had always dreamed of owning his own dog, and his girlfriend had been hoping to get one too. For a long time the couple rented in an apartment complex that had a strict no dog policy, but all of that changed when they set out to buy their own home. Now proud homeowners, Dan planned to institute a new rule: dogs are welcome! The couple couldn’t have been more excited about the opportunity.

Dan and his girlfriend immediately began their search for a canine companion to join their family. At long last their dream of having a dog in their home was going to come true. They looked at the website for the Detroit Dog Rescue to see if any of the dogs there might be a good fit. They soon saw a picture of an adorable pup named Sir Wiggleton. Dan just knew that this was the dog for him.

Sir Wiggleton was a two year old American Bulldog, who had been found roaming the streets of Detroit when a good samaritan brought him into the shelter. He had been with the shelter for about 100 days before Dan saw his picture, and that was that. Dan and his girlfriend drove over to the shelter, signed all the necessary paperwork, and shortly after Sir Wiggleton was on his way to his new forever home. The shelter was thrilled that one of their dogs had finally found a family.
