This goes without saying, but you really do need to make sure you dress to impress when it comes to the interview process. There are so many great things you can do to look the part, and you have to show professionalism. You should try to dress smartly, as you would in the office – that means formal clothes like a suit, blazer, etc. Also, make sure you have smart shoes on, and that you are as well groomed and smartly presented as possible. Your personal image is crucial when it comes to making the right first impression.

Always have some questions

We think it’s actually really important to make sure you have some questions when you attend an interview. These should be questions that are relevant to the company, and the role you are applying for. And try to make them a little more interesting and original than “How much money am I going to get?” Questions show initiative, and they show you are keen on the role and making progress in the business. Asking the right sorts of questions can make all the difference between a successful interview, and an unsuccessful one.
