Moving into college is the chance to finally spread our wings and feel as though we’ve been set free. So why does that mean we have to live in a gray room filled with nothing but the reminder we are chained to education for the next three to four years of our life? Make a headboard
Okay, so you don’t need to go out and spend thousands on a brand new bed, but you can update the one you’ve got with a simple yet effective headboard. All you need is a piece of cardboard large enough to fit behind your mattress. Then simply cut out a shape that suits your needs, cover it in something decorative, such as wrapping paper or wallpaper, and you’re good to go!
Add some color to drawers
Most students need a set of drawers where they can hide away all those essays that were supposed to be finished months ago. However, if you want to brighten up your dorm room with a simple hack, then all it could take is some colored scrap paper to get you started. Merely cut out squares large enough to fit at the front of your drawer and you’ll no longer have to stare at the bleak contents inside.
