It may be considered proper and polite to include a sister-in-law in your wedding party, simply out of respect, that is. Meghan, however, did not have Kate as a bridesmaid, though people suspected she may perhaps be the matron of honor. Scandalous, right? Not really, actually. This was simply out of custom. Usually, the wedding party are young children and having a woman as a bridesmaid is unheard of in the Royal Family. It was very untraditional when Pippa (Kate’s sister) was in her wedding.
