Scientists found signs of life 7.5 miles below ground, inside the Kola Superdeep Borehole

When you were a kid did you ever just start digging a hole for no reason? Maybe you were at the beach and the further you got the more you wanted to keep on going. It becomes hard work after a while, and before you spend your entire time at the beach digging, your parents probably found a way to distract you from your giant hole.
That curiosity never went away though, and one day you vowed you’d dig a really deep hole to see if you could make it to the middle of the Earth. Well, you no longer have to worry about digging as deep as possible, because someone has already done it and the hole is known as the Kola Superdeep Borehole. It doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue, but this is the place where scientists have managed to dig deeper than anywhere else.
In 1970 digging began at the Kola Superdeep Borehole and they just kept going until they could go no farther. Do you want a peek into the deepest hole in the world? Here’s what has been found in the hole since digging began.
