Steffen gave that man a $200 tip because he felt he had deserved. He felt that he had the means financially to do it, and he didn’t want the credit. He just gave him the money and left the restaurant quickly.

The only reason we’re hearing about him is because David ran after him and tracked him down. What Steffen did is something we could all learn from – giving for the sake of giving, and not because we’re going to be given a reward in return.
