The legendary Graceland mansion in Memphis, where Elvis spent so much of his career, was actually bought by the crooner when he was just 22. Can you imagine buying a place that grandiose at such a young age? Clearly, the young Presley had lofty ideas, even at that age. He shelled out $102,500 for the 14-acre mansion all the way back in 1957; we shudder to think what the place might cost to buy today – it’s unlikely many 22-year-olds would be considering a purchase!
