People have been getting body modifications for thousands of years. In fact, the oldest known tattooed person lived between 3400 and 3100 BCE – Ötzi the Iceman, as he’s affectionately known, was found with 61 soot tattoos. But why do people get inked today? The reasons are varied. It expresses their individuality, or they think it makes them look or more attractive. Perhaps they simply like the art, or use tattoos to tell their stories or transform into someone else entirely. Whatever your reason, make sure it’s right for you.
