Diner cancels job interview after candidate reveals pregnancy, gets major backlash

While what happened to Lindsey Wilcox was upsetting, she is unfortunately not the only woman who has had to experience discrimination for being pregnant. It is something many women have complained about around the country and in her home state of Florida.

So, in 2015, Florida legislatures decided to try and help end these discriminatory practices by making a change to the Florida Human Rights Act and added pregnant women to list of the groups who should be protected from employment discrimination.
