When you’re walking down the street or through your local park, you might come across lanes on the sidewalks that make sure pedestrians and cyclists can go about their business in harmony. The pedestrians stay in their lane, and the cyclists stay in theirs. It’s simple, and it works so well most of the time. That is until someone decides to throw a spanner into the works in the form of a giant pole and numerous giant rocks. Why? Well, we’re still scratching our heads now.

If you were driving along the road and saw this in your path, you would avoid it at all costs. Who wants to drive over a bridge that is being supported by a rather tentative stack of bricks? Not us, that’s who! Considering they’re kinda important, you’d like to think that smaller bridges like this one would be constructed with time, energy, and a whole host of knowledge and science.
