Spend a little bit of time just looking at this picture and trying to work out what it could be… Got it yet? It’s quite haunting to learn that this is an old WWI trench, 95 years after the war. It’s believed to be somewhere in France.
Especially as there are so many areas here where it looks like time stood still after the war. The holes around the trench are shell craters from battles gone by. The earth has literally been scarred by war.
