The reason that T.R. Knight left Grey’s Anatomy has a lot to do with conflicting perceptions. After telling creator Shonda Rhimes that he was a member of the LGBT community, there seemed to be a miscommunication. He may have gotten the impression that he was going to have less screen time because of it, but according to Rhimes, she said it was “awesome,” and that they would “totally support that.” What really happened is a bit murky, but it seems Knight wasn’t very happy about it regardless.
