TV stars who were unhappy with their roles

Katherine Heigl showed the way she truly felt about the show she starred on, medical drama Grey’s Anatomy, when she was nominated for an Emmy. Apparently she wasn’t very proud of the writing on the show because she withdrew herself from the running, claiming that the show’s “material” wasn’t good enough to warrant her getting an Emmy nomination (at the time, she was getting multi-million dollar movie offers). After making this statement, she was basically written off the show, freeing her for what was ultimately a rather middling movie career.
