Construction workers stumble across 150-year-old iron box that contains a mummy

The men had no idea what to do with themselves. They could quite clearly see that there was a body underneath the soil, and although they were used to seeing various objects and artifacts below the surface, they had never come across a decomposing body. They could see that the body was, in fact, still wrapped in clothing, which led them to believe that the body had not been there long.

Because of this, they assumed that they had stumbled across a crime scene. Conscious that they would disrupt the evidence, the construction workers decided to step away from the body, create a safe area around the specimen, and contact the relevant authorities. Before too long, the New York Police were on their way to the site.
