Dourdan said in an interview that he was pleased everyone was so in love with the show. He explained that after his death on the series, fans would approach him and tell him that they cried when he left. Gary laughed when he said that his most common question was if he shadowed real life criminalist in order to prepare for the role. He loves that people were so devoted to CSI and has said that it’s always nice to hear them share their love.
