Donovan might have been one of the coolest singer songwriters in the folk era of the late 60s, having been one of the first to add a slightly psychedelic tone to that particular stripped down genre.
His softly delivered melodic tune “Jennifer Juniper” was written about model Jenny Boyd, who also happens to be the sister of the aforementioned Pattie Boyd. Although he never dated her, he certainly had a pretty strong crush on her, and this is apparent in the song.
