With all of these numbers and statistics being thrown around, it’s easy to get bogged down and lose sight of what’s truly important – how miraculous and beautiful it is for a birth – any birth, much less one as special as Eloise’s – to take place in the African savannah.

While it’s not actually a jungle, the animal kingdom’s laws definitely apply – and nothing can be taken for granted. Us humans would do well to remember that, in our cushy, sheltered lives, and feel a little more thankful for our blessings.
