All of a sudden, it was as if Eloise needed to lie down a lot more than she ever had in the past. It almost seemed as though someone had swapped her personality with another elephant. Charles began to wonder if the heat was affecting her more now she was an older elephant. Something just wasn’t right.

Eloise started to act short-tempered with the youngsters and would swat them away. Plus, she was now at the back of the herd rather than leading from the front.
