It’s no secret that the Sphinx is an unusual creature, but with the body of a lion, it should come as no surprise to learn that this structure does actually include its tail.

If you have seen the structure up close and personal, you may have missed the tail – because it’s incredibly hidden. In fact, it’s wrapped around the right hind leg, and can only really be seen if you walk around the back of the Sphinx. When you see this, you realize just how much attention to detail was put into the building of this structure.
