Marty York, the actor who played Yeah-Yeah, actually read for the role of Bertram initially. That part eventually went to Grant Gelt, though. York almost wasn’t even in the film if you can believe that. He was not cast at first, but the person who was supposed to play Yeah-Yeah got sick last minute, so they decided to call him in as a backup. We can’t imagine anyone else playing this character so it seems like they made the right decision.
