One scene in particular that took for-ev-er to shoot, was the hilarious s’mores scene between Ham and Smalls. The other boys couldn’t stop laughing at Patrick Renna, who played Ham, and the way he was delivering the lines. After over a dozen takes, the director had to command the boys to bite their lips if they felt like they were going to laugh. Today, the scene is easily one of the most quotable moments of the movie, but if you look closely in the background you can see Mike Vitar (aka Benny) biting his lip and trying not to laugh.
