Unfortunately, Cooper’s relationship with Bergman wasn’t the only time he was unfaithful to his wife. In 1948, after finishing up his work on The Fountainhead, he got together with his young co-star in the film, Patricia Neal.
Interestingly enough, the actor wasn’t so impressed with Neal at first, and even told director King Vidor that he didn’t believe she was a good fit for the film. Of course, this would all change after they started working together, when sparks flew between them prompting an extramarital relationship.
