Dan posted his pictures of Diggy without a second thought. After all, they were just sharing innocent fun with his dog. With a face like Diggy’s, how could he possibly resist sharing it with the rest of the world? Most people love to see pictures of dogs online, and for the most part people were loving Diggy and Dan’s pictures, but Dan never thought he would need to worry about who else might see them. But it’s important to remember that you never know who might be lurking on the internet.

Dan is very involved in social media, and he decided that Diggy’s picture was just too cute to keep on his own pages. Dan and his girlfriend were so grateful to have Diggy in their lives, and they wanted to make sure the shelter knew how appreciative they were, and how happy Diggy would be with them. So, Dan decided to send his selfie his to the Detroit Dog Rescue as well, and the shelter promptly shared it on their own Facebook page.

Dan and Diggy’s selfie on the shelter’s Facebook page quickly gained popularity, and was re-shared over 6,700 times! People everywhere loved it, and many were expressing their joy that that Diggy had found such a good forever home. Most people left positive comments, and everything seemed to be going swimmingly. But wherever there are fans, their also tend to be critics. And unbeknownst to Dan, someone who saw his photo with Diggy didn’t just intend to criticize him, they decided to call the police.
