The Danish Defense is made up of the Air Force, Navy, Home Guard, and the Army. It wasn’t until 1949 that the branches of the military came together, even though the country had been involved in various conflicts over the years. According to Danish law, any man aged 18 years or older is conscripted by the military. However, as so many people volunteer themselves, most are never called upon. Denmark has done its best to stay away from trouble as they currently have 500 deployed out of the 20,000 personnel signed up.
