After tense times with North Korea, it looks as though Japan may soon be upping the ante. The country has over 56,000 personnel that all serve in their Air Force, Maritime Force, and Ground Force. The Self-Defence Forces were created shortly after the Second World War as the country was forced to become a pacifist nation. Their extreme tactics in the war now mean that Japan can only call upon their armed forces if they need to use them for self-defense.
