Here’s a quip about American currency that actually makes sense if you think about it in a practical way. Outsiders can’t understand why all U.S. dollars are the same color, whereas with other countries they have a rainbow assortment of colors which helps differentiate the bills.
You could make the argument that U.S. dollars are more pristine and classy, unlike the “monopoly money” of outside countries – but something tells us non-Americans just wouldn’t get it.
