Whether you’re in your hometown or traveling abroad, the prospect of tipping will pretty much inevitably be thrust upon you – whether you’re supposed to or not. In American culture, tipping is pretty common. In fact, there are many waiters and bartenders in the States who don’t get paid hourly, rather solely on tips.
