All of this talk of tailgating brings us to another important discrepancy between American and foreign cultures – football. Oh wait, we should say “American football.”
Considering the fact that half of the world calls soccer football, or “futball,” we should be clear about the sport we’re talking about. Outsiders have gotten on board with basketball, baseball, and some countries have even embraced hockey – but why not football? Non-Americans have yet to understand what the hype is all about.
