The site where the drilling took place was abandoned with the fall of the Iron Curtain, but that hasn’t stopped people from heading to explore it. While many of the structures surrounding the hole have crumbled due to being left derelict, people are curious and take frequent trips to the site.
Some believed the hole made it all the way through to the underworld, linking the devil to this world. The only real evidence the hole is even there is a rusted cap which doesn’t appear to have any significance.
