Get your tissues ready, MCU fans. One of the most heart wrenching storylines throughout the Marvel films is the romantic relationship between Steve Rogers and Agent Peggy Carter. In the first Captain America, we observe their budding romance, as well as their first kiss.
By the end of the film, we’re left in tears because Steve is unable to follow through on his date, what with being frozen for 70 years and all. At the end of Endgame, we’re brought back to that moment of melancholy when Steve goes back in time, and meets Peggy for that date he promised her. Appropriately enough, the song they dance to is called “It’s Been a Long Long Time.”
