Probably the saddest moment of the film is when Tony is about to die after saving everyone’s life with his own “snap.” Peter Parker then gets close to him and apologizes profusely in his grief. All of us were understandably heartbroken… but some fans remembered something else.
Peter apologizing was in direct reference to him saying, “I’m sorry” at the end of Infinity War. The only difference was, in Infinity War he was the one dying, and not Tony. Considering the fact that bringing Peter back to life is a huge part of Tony’s motivation for everything he does Endgame, this reference rings true in a poetic yet heartbreaking note.
