One of the most exciting moments in Avengers: Endgame is when Captain America picks up Thor’s hammer, and proceeds to wield its power with ease. When he does this, Thor calls out, “I knew it!”
This is a reference to Avengers: Age of Ultron, when everyone tried to pick up his hammer. They were all unsuccessful in their efforts, but when Steve Rogers tried, the hammer tilted slightly – and this subtle distinction was not lost on Thor.
